Cowboy and Lightning are busy.....eating.  Each day they consume 4 pounds of Mare and Foal, 9 pounds of milk replacer pellets, probiotics, vitamins, free choice Bermuda grass hay and a handful of alfalfa.  The attention they show to the bottom of their buckets shows.  Look at them now!

Both are gaining weight and feeling much better.  Cowboy still has a cough but he is bright and alert and the new antibiotics seem to be doing the trick. 

 
Not to be outdone, Lightning's knees are healing and looking better and better. The sores on the fetlocks are healed.  The abscess on the left knee is left with just a slight amount of swelling.  The right knee wound is granulating in well. There is still a tiny amount of swelling through the left pastern.

 

Both the foals receive red light therapy which is like acupuncture.  Cowboy is treated on his lung points, Lightning on points for hip and stifle soreness.
